This in person camp will run Monday-Thursday July 12th-15th from 10-11:30am. Students will be introduced to the color wheel and primary, secondary, and tertiary colors. We’ll start each day with a new color mixing exercise. Through camp projects students will be learning tricks artists have used for centuries to convey different emotions in their work. On the last day of camp we’ll finish up by painting to different styles of music. Each artist will have their own materials to work with which will be sent home with them on the last day of camp.

Camp will be held outside on the deck behind Cloud 9 Art School. The camp will be limited to 6 students and one instructor. Parents are asked not to accompany their student onto the deck so we can keep the acceptable 6ft of social distance from each other. Masks are required at all times. We ask that artists are fed before camp to avoid snacking and/or unnecessary removal of masks during camp. Water bottles are welcome. Artists will have access to bathrooms inside the school which will be well ventilated.

Parents/guardians will have a short health survey to fill out before dropping off their artist. If your artist has taken fever reducing medicine, has been experiencing fever, cough or shortness of breath, has a family member experiencing any of these symptoms or has been exposed to someone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days they will be excluded from in person camp.

Students who are excluded from in person camp are eligible for a refund up to 50% and/or placement in a future virtual camp. Safety for all young artists is my priority.
